Butterscotch was pregnant (unbeknownst to us) when we brought her home. Today she delivered four adorable little babies! These babies have not been sexed yet, but they will be when they're bigger. They were born 12/15/12, and will be ready for their new homes 1/5/13. They are $30 each or two (same sex) for $50. Check the Guinea Pig page for updates!
I'm thriled to announce the arrival of our very first guinea pig litter! Calypso delivered twins just after midnight 11/7/12. I've given them the nicknames Pants and Smee. Pants is the darker, and Smee the lighter. Pants is older by just a few minutes. Their father is our very own Skunk, so they are purebred Abyssinian guinea pigs. I have not sexed them yet. They will be ready for new homes 11/28/12. Adoption fee will be $25 each (or $40 for both is they are same sex).
I've taken a few photos of the 10/3/12 hamster litter (now ten days old). They still have eyes closed, but I got to count them - 14 in all! That's my largest litter to date! Mom is taking excellent care of her babies. There are a nice mix of goldens, golden/greys, and creams. Doesn't look like I got any calicos in this litter, but several satins. They'll be available for $10 each. I will be accepting $5 deposits once they open their eyes and I can get individual photos of each one. I'm thrilled to announce the birth of our very first ebony chinchilla kit! She's a medium ebony out of a dark ebony show-quality male and a beige female from my own bloodlines. She's a little on the small side, but her mom is taking excellent care of her.
Sable (hamster) mom delivered her litter on September 6! Babies will be ready to go 9/27 (assuming all are eating and drinking on their own). Looks like six in the nest, but I didn't dig. Photos will be posted when they get color.
Mama Bun is due tomorrow. It's the coldest night in a long time, so we're hoping she has them in the box and not on the wire. Maybe our morning rounds will reveal a healthy litter of baby bunnies! |
